NEIAWRC receives grants from Allamakee-Clayton REC and Black Hills Energy for lifeguard training

Northeast Iowa Wellness & Recreation Center
The Northeast Iowa Wellness and Recreation Center recently received generous grants from Allamakee-Clayton Electric Cooperative Operation Round Up and Black Hills Energy. Their investments in the community will allow NEIAWRC to launch their Lifeguard Training Assistance Program.
Director of Operations, Melanie Bauch said, “These generous grants will help remove financial barriers and will empower more individuals to become certified lifeguards.”
She added, “This program means we will be able to have more trained lifeguards, more job opportunities and a safer community for everyone who uses our local pools.”
