Marjorie Lena Rolfs White Kruger was born on April 11th, 1924, to Walter and Emma (Kostman) Rolfs in rural Ludlow Township. Marjorie was baptized and graduated from one of the first classes of Waukon High School.
She was a woman of great faith. She regularly attended Sunday services and was a longstanding member of the Salem United Church of Christ; her faith was exemplified in her life. Only second to her faith, her many grandchildren, great and great-great-grandchildren were her most-cherished blessings; she shared a close and loving bond with each one.
Majorie is survived by her siblings: Donald Rolfs, Irene Carney, Darlene Hudson, and Janet Kaufman; her children: Gary (Anne) White of Decorah, Kermit (Cathy) White of Postville, Daniel (Nooch) White of Postville, and Judy (Steve) Houdek of Anamosa; 17 grandchildren; and an abundance of great and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Walter in 1978; husband Emmett in 2021; her siblings Lloyd and Charles Rolfs and Gladys Hartson; and her children: Richard and Karen White and Cheryl (Ted) McNally.
Casketbearers are Timothy White, Samuel White, Abraham White, Jason Benson, Robert White, Jacob White, Garrett Houdek, and Doug McNally.
Above all, Marjorie cared deeply for her family and friends. She will be remembered always for her generous heart, her quick wit, her unforgettable laugh, and the joy she brought into the lives of everyone blessed to know her.
