The Postville Park and Pool Board will be hosting a fundraiser to replace older playground equipment at Lull’s Park.

Paula Enyart, a member of the Board, said they will start by hosting a community meal.

“We’ll start our fundraising efforts with a kickoff meal on August third,” she said.

They are hoping to also get the community’s input.

“At the community meal, we would like the community to share specific ideas that they would like to see,” Enyart said.

The Board is also hoping to have illustrations of potential playground equipment ideas by then as well. They do not have a specific amount of equipment they are planning to replace–they want to replace as many pieces as they can.

“It’s just time to update our equipment and our park. Make it more kid friendly,” Enyart said.

For anyone who is unable to attend the meal but would like to donate, they can also send a donation to the Postville City Hall, and mark the funds for playground fundraising.

The Lull’s Park Playground fundraiser will be on Sunday, August 3 from 5-7 p.m. at the Postville Swimming Pool Concession Stand.
