Joyce Ann Kuhse

Joyce Ann Kuhse, 92, of Postville, Iowa passed away Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Good Samaritan Society in West Union, Iowa. Joyce Ann Johnson Snitker Kuhse was born November 16, 1929 in Waterville, Iowa to Bernhart and Thora (Storla) Johnson. She graduated from Waterville High School.

On June 13, 1948, Joyce married Donald L. Snitker at the Waterville Lutheran Church. To this union nine children were born. Donald passed away in 1971. In 1973 Joyce was united in marriage with Dale Kuhse. Dale passed away in 2001.

Surviving Joyce are her children, Barbara (Sigurd) Ness, Arlyn (Julie) Snitker, Delora Dundee, Nancy (Dennis) Turner, Russell Snitker, Lavonne (Mark) Dayton, Laverne Snitker and Bruce (Sheila) Snitker; daughter-in-law, Robin Snitker; brother-in-law, Donald Kuhse; nineteen grandchildren; forty-four great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; son, Steven; son-in-law, Monte Dundee; great-grandson, Dakota Ness; great-great granddaughter, Makaela Ness; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Darlene and Gene Sickels; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Roger Kuhse, Janet Kuhse, Clifford Kuhse, Judie Kuhse and Judy Kuhse.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Schutte-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Postville, Iowa.

There will be a Private Family Funeral held at Waterville Lutheran Church with Rev. Lynn Noel as the Officiant.

Burial will be at Waterville Lutheran Cemetery, Waterville, Iowa at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Postville Area Ambulance, Waterville Lutheran Cemetery or the charity of your choice.
