Allamakee County teen dies in one car roll-over July 2 north of Waukon

Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 11:01 a.m., the Allamakee County Sheriff’s  office received a report of a one vehicle accident on State Highway 76 north of Waukon. The accident location was approximately 500 feet north of the State Highway 76 and Iverson Bridge Rd intersection.

The driver, Christine Alma Lund, 18, lost control of the vehicle she was driving. The vehicle entered the ditch and rolled over multiple times, ejecting the female driver from the vehicle. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle.

The accident remains under investigation by the Allamakee County Sheriff’s Office. Assisting at the scene was the Waukon Fire Department, Veterans Memorial Hospital and Iowa Department of Transportation Enforcement Division.
