Young runners do well at MFL MarMac cross country meet

The Pirate Cross Country runners participated in the MFL MarMac meet at Tri-City Golf Club September 1.

Coach Brad Rose said, “The meet was a success for our young runners. We had five freshmen girls running in their first cross country meet. The girls were nervous before the meet but were proud of their performance afterwards. Now that they have a race under their belts, we look to drop their times the rest of the season.”

On the boys’ side, Brayan Silva ran another strong race and improved his season best time on a much more difficult course. Coach Rose said, “He was complimented by Abdikani Osman and Curtis Dundee who both ran their first race of the season as well.”
