Karli Miller, who grew up in Postville and Jason Schmelzer, a graduate of South Winn High School, were engaged last April after having dated since 2008. 

In spite of having been together for over six years, Jason was determined to make their engagement and his proposal a day full of surprises as well as a meaningful expression of their love for each other.

The courtship leading up to their engagement also played a big role as to how Karli and Jason’s  relationship developed and grew.
