Tri-City Golf Club celebrating 75th anniversary this Saturday

Tri-City Golf Club, located outside of Luana, has been a golfing and socializing site for residents of Postville, Luana and Monona for thee quarters of a century. In honor of the occasion, the club is celebrating its 75th anniversary this Saturday, August 29 with a variety of activities. The day’s activities begin with  a three-person golf tournament. Starting times for the three person par three nine hole tournaments are 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. The cost is $90 per team. The registration fee includes three tickets to the grill-out later in the day. The grill-out is being catered by Old School Catering from 4-7 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at FreedomBank in Postville and Monona, Luana Savings Bank, Tri-City Clubhouse or from any board member. Tickets are $12.50 in advance or $15 the day of the event. Music will be provided by R &Z Soundtrack.

Club History

In conjunction with the 75th anniversary, history of Tri-City Golf Club is being shared with our readers. 

The club has come a long way since its humble beginnings in 1940. In the summer of 1940 three carloads of Postville, Monona and Luana men set out to select a site for a golf course between Postville and Monona.
