Swiss Valley holds groundbreaking for new expansion project

Swiss Valley Farms held it’s official groundbreaking ceremony Thursday afternoon for the new expansion of the cheese manufacturing facility in Luana. On hand were city officials from Monona and Luana,  as well as Swiss Valley Farms employees and administrative staff, including Swiss Valley Farms CEO Don Boelens, who gave the opening comments.

“We are excited to witness the beginning of this momentous project. Last November we announced a 20.6 million dollar expansion and technological update of our cheese facility here in Luana, which primarily centers around improvement of cheese manufacturing equipment.
