Spencer Lone Tree, writer and musician, to release his second CD

Spencer Lone Tree, a dedicated writer and musician who has lived in Postville for several years, has not let his battle with cancer keep him from pursuing his dream. Having been diagnosed with cancer in 2007, his treatment is ongoing. He said, “Although I feel ill for several hours after having a treatment, I have never let it deter me from my passion. I use my writing and music as therapy,”

Lone Tree, the author, is writing his third book in a series about his people, the Ho-Chunk nation. Having recorded his first CD last summer, Spencer is in the process of finalizing the songs on his second CD “Side by Side” which he hopes to record next month at Mauston Language Department recording studio in Wisconsin.
