Silva finishes fourteenth in first cross-country meet

The Pirates were slated to open the Cross Country season with a meet at Ed-Co last Friday.

Coach Brad Rose said, “We only had Brayan Silvia run at the Edco meet. He ran a very smart and controlled pace which allowed him to finish well in the later half of the race.  It was a good race for Brayan for the start of the year. After the race he said he had a lot still left in him and has potential to run a much faster race if he puts in a few more surges throughout the race.”

Silva finished the meet with a time of 23:31 for a 14th place finish.

The next cross country race is scheduled for Thursday, September 1 when MFL MarMac is the host school at Tri-City Golf Club.
