Postville Pirate soccer has successful season as they advance to substate finals

Postville soccer started the season in March with little to no varsity experience at some of the key positions including goalkeeper and several defensive positions.

Letter winners: Abdikadar Mohamed, Elfego Marroquin, Abdikani Osman, Uvaldo Camarillo, Aboody Abdullalhi, Wilmar Marroquin, Adonias Mejia, Marnol Mejia, Ahmed Abdullahi, Abdikarim Abdi, Hayden Mielke, Aaron Swartzendruber, Wilmer Soy, Eric Lopez, Samater Ali, Levi Sanchez, and Mohamed Muhumed.

All-State Honors

Sophomore Abdikadar Mohamed was named to the second team All-State Soccer Team for Class 1A. He played forward on the Pirate soccer team and was the first Pirate to receive All-State honors.
