Postville High School commencement exercises to be held this Sunday

Commencement exercises will be held Sunday, May 20 at 2:30 p.m. in the high school gym. 

Forty students in the Class of 2018, having completed the requirements for graduation, as prescribed by the Board of Education, will receive their diplomas.

Pre-commencement music will be provided by the high school band under the direction of Shauna Marie Johnsen. They will also provide music at various other times during the ceremony. The chorus members will also provide a vocal selection.

Principal Brendan Knudtson will introduce the class and welcome those present.

Knutson will introduce the salutatorian Lakken Cox who will address her classmates and those present.

Nick Jacobs, who is the valedictorian, also will speak to those in attendance.

Jamie Smith, president of the Board of Education, will present the diplomas to the members of the senior class.
