Pirates fall to Ed-Co as they have trouble converting and making shots

The Pirates only played one game last week due to weather cancellations. On Friday night the boys hosted Ed-Co and they were unable to get any momentum going as they lost the contest 60-33.

Starters for Postville were Avery Enyart, Nick Jacobs, Jacob Steffans, Blake Wettleson and Aboody Abdullahi. Seeing much action off the bench were Harrison Dehning and Owen Jacobson, who returned after an injury.

Although the game started out well for the Pirates, the success did not last long. Coach Sass said, “We were able to get some good looks and force some turnovers early which was the plan, but it quickly got away from us.”

Tuesday the Pirates were slated to play MFL MarMac in the Monona gym and Friday, January 20 they host Starmont at home. The games begin at 5 p.m. with JV girls and boys followed with varsity boys at 6:15 p.m.
