Pirate soccer team defeats Independence on Parents’ Night

Last week the soccer team hosted Independence for senior night. They defeated the visitors by a score of 4-3. After having been down 2-0 with only 25 minutes left to play, Aboody Abdullahi scored two goals.

Eric Lopez and Elfego Marroquin each scored a goal as well. Willy Martinez recorded an assist in the game to help the Pirate cause.

Later in the week the Pirates played a tough Waverly-Shell Rock team. Waverly-Shell Rock, ranked number three in Class 2A, was far too much for the Pirates who were missing several varsity players due to the district track meet.
