Northeast IA YMCA hosting Kids’ Day

The Northeast Iowa YMCA is hosting a Kids’ Day this Saturday, April 30 in the gymnasium at the facility. The swimming pool will be open and there will be face painting. Kids will have a chance to participate in Yoga sessions for kids, games, BMI testing with Palmer Lutheran and have fun in a bouncy house. They will also have snacks.

The cost is $5 per child or $10 for more than one child in a family. Parents, who accompany their children, will be admitted at no charge.

Kendra Kennedy, director of the YMCA said, “We are having the Kids’ Day to promote and encourage healthy living and to stress the importance of physical activity for youth, especially over the summer months.”

Below are the yoga times per each age group:

2-5 years of age: 9:30 a.m.

6-10 years of age: 10:30 a.m.

11 and up: 11:15 a.m.
