Governor Branstad visits Postville’s Hall Roberts’ Son

Governor Terry Branstad visited Postville’s Hall Roberts’ Son, the oldest business in Allamakee County Thursday, April 16 as the business celebrated its 150 anniversary last summer.

The governor’s stop in Postville was part of his visit to all of Iowa’s 99 counties. The visit to Allamakee County was facilitated by Ardie Kuhse, acting director of Allamakee Economic Development.

General manager Chris Hoffert explained the company history and accompanied the governor on a tour of the facility.  Branstad met with Hall Roberts who told the governor how blessed he has been to be a member of the Roberts family and this long-standing Postville business.
