Girls compete in three outdoor meets as they continue to show improvement; score 31 points at Monona

The Postville girls started the outdoor season at Oelwein. Coach Brad Rose said, “It was a good and cold experience for our young runners. The weather may have slowed our performances, but the girls learned a lot from this first meet. Iqra Mohamed and Ilhan Tahil participated in their first ever high school sport, while it was the first outdoor meet for many of the other girls. We used the meet to see what improvements were needed in the field events, starts, and hand-offs.”

At Waukon

About the meet at Waukon, Coach Brad Rose noted, “The Waukon meet was the day after a cold late night at the Oelwein meet, but the girls gained valuable experience competing against other teams and running in race situations.

At MFL MarMac

Coach Rose commented about the meet in Monona, “The third race of the week turned out to be the best meet of the week.
