Bubiy and Benson to compete at State Track meet

Through a steady downpour and frigid temperatures, the Pirates tack teams participated in district competition Thursday afternoon and evening at Ed-Co High School.

Anjela Bubiy, who was unable to win her best event the high jump, still came away with two first place finishes as she won the long jump and 100 meter hurdles. She will be competing at the state meet later this week in both events.

 

The Pirate men score 37 points for a ninth place finish as they were unable to win any events in the competition.

However with a throw of 45-06.50 in the shot put, Trevar Benson earned the right to compete at the State Meet later this week as he had one of the 24 best distances in the state in our class.
