Boys end season at State Qualifying Meet at Ed-Co

The Pirate boys’ track team competed at the state qualifying meet last Friday where they performed well.

Coach Shelby Varney said, “We had a great end to our season Friday night at the state qualifying track meet at Ed-Co. The guys put forth a lot of effort and we saw several seasons’ bests. The whole team has shown a great deal of improvement from our first meet back in March and our relay times and individual events reflected that Friday.”

She added, “The team was led by 4th place finishes from junior Isaac Steffans in the discus and senior Brayan Silva in the 1600m. We will miss Brayan’s dedication and leadership next year, but wish him the best moving forward. He has had an excellent four years both on and off the track here at Postville High School. We would also like to thank all of our fans for another great season.”
