Baseball team has tough week against North Fayette Valley, Ed-Co, Rockford and Riceville

North Fayette Valley Game One, Lost, 9-0

Mac Hughes got the start on the mound going all five innings.

North Fayette Valley got on the scoreboard in the first posting five runs all  of which were unearned. 

The Pirates committed three errors and walked one leading to the Tiger Hawks big inning. The Pirates settled down from there holding North Fayette Valley  to four more runs over the next four innings. 

Coach Luke Steege said, “We were unable to get anything going in the game.” 

The final score was 9-0.

Pitching: Mac Hughes five inning pitched, three hits, nine runs, three earned, four strike outs, three walks. 

Game two was rained out and will be made up on July 6th as part of a double header. Game two that evening will be a make up game with MFL MarMac. The games will be played at Postville.
