After a good start, Pirates fall to Nashua-Plainfield

Although the Pirates were able to get a quick start in the opening football game of the season, they would eventually fall to the home team Nashua-Plainfield by a score of 41-14. Errors by the Pirates and big plays by the Huskies would prove to be the difference.

Nashua-Plainfield received the opening kick-off where they started with good field position. The Huskies moved the ball well and took five minutes off the clock and scored on their first possession. The extra point was good and they would lead early, 7-0 Huskies.

The Pirates went three and out on their first possession. A lofty punt by Elfego Marroquin pinned the Huskies inside their own 20. Uvaldo Camarillo intercepted a pass and returned  the ball to the Husky 30 yard line.
